Burnout - A Cultural Phenomena?
My personal journey with burnout began from not recognising the symptoms, to be being signed off work sick for a year. Thankfully this was now 4 years ago, and in hindsight it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Not at the time of course! I ask myself many questions - is having a burnout a privilege? Is it a Western phenomenon? Why did I feel guilty?
Mental Health & Culture

When I first started Annelie Wambeek Consultancy, intercultural training was the first thing I offered.

Decolonisation
...for me, #decolonisation is not an academic pursuit. It is not a metaphor, nor is it a box-checking exercise.

Depolarising Dialogue
..if you had asked me a few years ago, I would have told you I am extremely conflict averse, and even conflict avoidant, in my #communication style.
DEI Against Occupation
At the core of being a DEI practitioner for me is the notion of common humanity - and the acknowledgement that all systems of oppression are interlinked.
Dutch Burghers
It was just a year ago that I wrote about my Dutch #Burgher ethnicity, and ever since I have been delving deeper.
