Experiential DEI
“…I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand.”
Last week Neil Payne and I had the opportunity to create some magic and get experiential in a castle deep in Bavaria, 🇩🇪. Experiential learning is referred to as learning through action, learning by doing, learning through experience, and learning through discovery and exploration. Huge thanks to Pigalle Tavakkoli for introducing us to this world!
We challenged ourselves to use as many senses as possible when creating this experience! The senses not only play a role in how we experience the world; they’re also linked to memory and retention. The themes for the day were resilience, collaborative leadership and connection. We took inspiration from the Beech tree, a symbol of the area and Rothenbuch Castle, and of resilience!
We work backwards from the outcomes our clients want to achieve, and craft a learning journey inspired by the environment around us. We are very proud that we didn’t use a single slide all day! Have you experienced the power of experiential design?
