Musings on Malta

As the Maltese sun becomes a distant memory, and Karnival music finally stops invading my brain - I’m slowly digesting the #SEUMalta22 conference.

The programme was FULL and making choices wasn’t easy - I ended up in a few unexpectedly good sessions as I got lost looking for rooms! This was the first year the conference was hybrid - which means I can’t wait to experience and learn from the ones I missed. I’ve listed a few that caught my eye in the pictures below.

One takeaway from the conference for me was ‘I am in the right place, doing what I’m meant to be doing’ - and anyone who has taken a risk and followed their heart, knows how reassuring this is! It was truly energising to be surrounded by fellow culture vultures.

I am thrilled to announce I will be succeeding Yvonne Van der Pol and joining the Board of SIETAR Europa. I have big shoes to fill and I look forward to a new strategic challenge. Apologies to those I haven't tagged properly, unintentional of course.

A post on my own presentation will follow - but we have to remember we are at the beginning of the road to re-thinking

#interculturalism. We have a long way to go, and a lot of self reflection to do - let's stay joyfully critical and stubbornly hopeful?
