Intersecting Fields…

I’ve just had one of the most mentally stimulating and fulfilling weeks - ever.

It wasn’t just about the knowledge I hungrily consumed, but the space to question and critically self reflect on our roles as practitioners. Jana Hollá and Nadine Binder, PhD expertly led us through 3 days of exploring the #intersections between the Diversity Equity & Inclusion (#DEI) and #intercultural competence (ICC) fields. It was a real luxury to be around people who not only welcomed my million and one questions - but had been thinking about them too.

An #ahamoment 🤯 for me was Complexity Theory, and the awareness that I am operating often in the liminal space between complex, complicated and chaos. On a personal level I am unsure how much I should share now, as #srilanka and her people are suffering 🇱🇰. I also have friends who are grieving for their country too - so many of us who have parts scattered around the world.

As I have said before, holding space for very different parts of my life is a work in progress, and probably always will be. For now, I will leave a link in the comments to a Go Fund Me, organised by my good friend Ramesh Ganohariti. 💰 isn’t always the answer, but right now every rupee counts.

For now, I’m letting it all sink in, as I catch up on sleep and my 🧠 processes. That is a luxury and a #privilege - one which I’m figuring out how to best use! 🌍
