Bilingual Facilitation
…today I had the pleasure of delivering a pilot workshop for the Gemeente Amstelveen, cosy🔥 and all.
As with every successful session (in my opinion) we had a few difficult conversations, and more questions arose.🌍 Today was my first time facilitating a session in both Dutch and English, and it feels like a milestone. Having difficult conversations is hard enough in our mother tongue - so I’m very flexible with what language people choose to use in my sessions.
I still facilitate in my first language, but with breakout groups, or personal reflection, I encourage participants to use whatever language they think in 💭. 👇🏽 How much does #language influence *your* work, and ability to learn? Any #polyglots out there?
